These watches were basically A11s but with the advent of the USA joining WW2 these watches started to appear in the RAF , even before the USAAF arrived, were given ordnance numbers by the War Ministry and were used by bomber crews on missions over France, Benelux and off course Germany. 
 
At some after the war the owner had his initials engraved and the year 1949. 
 
The movement is a 16 Jewel Lever Movement signed Waltham
