c.1943 WW2 Gruen Pan American Pilots Watch 
 
In 1943 with the USA at war, Gruen produced these watches for Pan Am Airlines to be used by the pilots of Seaplanes or Clippers as they were also known around the Pacific, all Pilots and Pan Am bases and airfields  having been taken over by the military during the war. 
 
These watches were produced by Gruen during the war years but  at the end of the war were offered to the public to buy so a larger range of Pan Am Watches all with 24chour dials were produced and offered for sale.
 
This watch was produced around 1943, the case is all steel and is in very good condition, the dial shows a little wear but nothing serious.
Inside the case is 17 Jewel movement signed Gruen Watch Co
 
Cosmetically overall this is in very good condition and running well
