c.1948 Gruen 14ct Gold Gruen Veri-Thin Pan Am Gents Pilots Watch 
 
In 1943 during the height of WW2 Gruen created a range of watches specifically for Pan Am Pilots, most were flying clipper seaplanes around the Pacific Islands where pre war Pan Am had bases, these had been turned over the the Military and so the pilots were also under military command. Post war Gruen released these watches with their 24 hour dials to thr general public. 
 
This watch has a 14ct Rose Gold case which is in excellent condition, the case does have a name engraved on the back, the dial is also in excellent shape.
Inside the case is a Gruen 17 Jewel 420SS cal movement 
 
Cosmetically overall this is in very good condition and running well
